Our Oregon based Wild Zoo Children's Furniture manufacturing business was established in 1995, by an energetic designer/architect from Britain. The early furniture offerings included painted bed frames, shelves, and rockers in animal shapes, thus the name - Wild Zoo. During the founder's 4 years of ownership, the product offerings went through several transitions before settling on a successful niche in the area of computer furniture and play tables for children.
Our family purchased the business in 1999 and currently employs two generations of our family. Wild Zoo continues to manufacture the original Preschool PC Desk and Play Table for four. Since 1999, we have added to the product line a grade-school size computer desk, a very popular "Buddy Desk" (computer desk built for two), single and dual station desks, an optional desk hutch, grow kit for pre-school desks, and a CPU/Printer stand.
We are very proud of the fact that Wild Zoo Furniture is a family owned and operated producer of authentic American made furniture. Our products are made in Oregon, with materials from the Pacific Northwest and our shipping cartons are constructed from recycled materials.
With the ongoing concern of lead content in children's products, we were quick to have our products tested in compliance with the requirements set forth in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008. All of our materials were tested found to be lead free.
Wild Zoo desks feature attached seats to prevent the seat from tipping over and all our desks have rounded corners, and our furniture is built to properly fit the size and height of young children, ages 2 - 10 years.
